Vieux Château Certan 2005

This is one of the most prestigious chateaux in Pomerol. The soil is a mixture of iron-rich clay and gravel, making it an ideal terroir for Merlot-based wines. Many of the vines are over 50 years old, producing grapes with a sense of concentration. The winemaking style is traditional and refined, emphasizing elegance over excessive richness.

The 2005 vintage is a great one, combining power and elegance for long-term aging. The proportion of Cabernet Franc is slightly higher, resulting in a wine with a strong structure and a classical style that is suitable for long-term aging.
