Located in Saint-Émilion on Bordeaux's right bank, this historic chateau dates back to the 18th century and boasts exceptional terroir potential. Renowned winemaker Stéphane Derenoncourt joined the estate as a consultant in 2002, significantly improving the quality of the wine. The vineyards are situated on south-facing slopes, with ample sunlight allowing the grapes to ripen perfectly. The limestone and clay soils create an elegant minerality and structure. 2005 was one of Saint-Émilion's best vintages, and the hot, dry summer allowed for perfectly ripe grapes to be harvested, resulting in a wine of intense concentration. The rich fruitiness of the Merlot-dominated grapes is exquisitely combined with the spice of the Cabernet Franc, resulting in a wine that combines power and elegance. This highly acclaimed wine is highly recommended for wine lovers, as it has the potential to withstand long-term aging. |
