Owned by the Perrodo family and based in Margaux, Bordeaux, France, this winery is a third-class Médoc winery known for producing elegant and delicate red wines unique to the Margaux region. With a tradition dating back to the 18th century, it has been gaining attention in recent years for its improved quality. The 2016 vintage was blessed with favorable weather. This wine, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc, offers an excellent balance of power and elegance, rich fruit flavors, and supple tannins. Aromas of black cherry, cassis, violet, and subtle spices permeate the palate, resulting in a refined, lingering finish. It has received high praise from critics, and its quality is undeniable. It is excellent to drink now, and has the potential to grow even deeper with further aging. This is a rare wine that is mainly sold in Europe and is rarely seen in Japan. |
